Has a 90 inch wheelbase, which is shorter than most coupes and hatches, and it has a hatch.

There have been very few, but the M135i is an obvious contender I'd say. Available with and without (=RWD) xDrive. And no a Porsche or 240Z doesn't really fall in the hot hatch category.

My favorite, the KP61 Toyota Starlet. 1650 lbs of live-axle goodness.

Stretching the definition of 'hot hatch' here, but the Alfa Junior Zagato is RWD, has a hatch and is hot.

Personally, I think they're 'liftback coupes', but if this counts then I suppose you could incluse the GT6...

Oh, perhaps the Reliant Scimitar counts, but again that's more of a shooting brake than a hot hatch.

Agreed, I see the 928 and 240Z more as liftback coupes than proper hot hatches.
Odd about the M135i though. I see that as a hot hatch, but a Scimitar as a shooting brake, despite them having near identical layouts and profiles.
